Where did October go?

Hello all! Wow. I can't belive it has been a month since I have updated the blog. I am not sure if I can remember what has happened. Well, besides Alabama being undefeated!

Two weeks ago I had lithotripsy. Let me just tell you. That is an awful surgery. I had an 8 mm kidney stone that was not going to pass. They used electric shock to break it up and then put a stint in. Needless to say...mama was down for a while! The day I had my stint taken out we went to Knoxville for the UT/Bama game. We stayed with Randy's brother and his family and had a great, great time.

This past week we went to Disney on Ice on Thursday(with some great friends), Friday was Emma's field trip at school and Davis' Halloween Parade at preschool. Mom kept Houston so Randy could go to the parade and I went on the field trip.We trick or treated around the neighborhood on Friday night. Emma was a panther and Davis was a Fireman. Houston was going to be a Zebra, but decided to stay in with Daddy and hand out candy. Saturday, I took Emma to the Alabama homecoming game. She had a blast and was very well behaved. Sunday was Randy's 31st birthday and we had Emma's end of the season softball party....whew.
I know that this is just a glimpse into the future of how busy we are going to be!

Emma is doing very well in school. She is reading the K readers and some that are above K level. She is getting "computer time" at home and is doing really well. There are several websites I love. She does www.starfall.com at home and school. She also loves spelling so we are using www.spellingcity.com Check them out! They are great!

Davis is really making progress with his speech therapy. He seems to be much less frustrated and is a bit easier to handle. It makes me feel terrible that he was frustrated for so long and that had alot to do with his behavior. He is such a happy boy and now has to have and do everything that Emma does. He really likes "projects" and "jobs" to do!

Houston is growing like a weed. He is eating well, sleeping through the night, getting more alert. He is starting to grab onto things. It is really just amazing. He is such a good baby and a true blessing. He really looks like my dad. I wish he could see him so very bad.

So, I know you all want to know how Randy is holding up....I think he is going to make it. There has only been one game where he has thrown his hat at the TV. Yesterday we got the news that Fulmer is stepping down at Tennessee....Randy has officially declared it basketball season! ha This whole time I have reminded him of the coaching jokes he has made to me about dennis fran, mike price and mike shula....

Ok, on to me....I am really distressed about the economy especially since we have another one to feed, dress, and buy cookie dough from! So, I decided it was time. I have had enough. I am going to SAVE money every way I can. If i don't have a coupon, I am not getting it, doing it, or whatever. This has turned me into a monster, I am a coupon queen now. It is amazing how much I am saving just at the grocery store! My grocery totals have been cut in half. Randy says so has my housework! ha! Anyway, if you are looking for tips just email me and I will let you know how I am doing it.

Speaking of deals, Today is voting day. If you happen to get this before its too late, several places are offering freebies for voting. At Krispy Kreme you can get a free star dougnut for showing your sticker, at starbacks a free tall coffee, and at ben and jerry's from 5-8, free ice cream!

I am sorry it to me so long to update, I am hoping to do better this month!
Love,
Us!
